March 31st

Was able to get the chapter writing for Space Mine out of the way this am. That feels good. If I did this full time, i should be able to go through a few thousand words a day. I know during the creative surge I had last summer I was able to do that and that was working also.

Intend to clean up the items I accomplished on the website yesterday. I used Photoshop Elements for making the circular buttons for the web pages that deal with the scenario guides and I have the Amazon Affiliate status set up now. I have to clean up a little on the home page for that. Then maybe work on the reading List also.

I still have to finish putting in all the info from the small park competitions, such as the pics from the entrants, and I have to finish putting the scenario guides all online.

For the synopsis of a book, today is Amnesiac Cowboy.

        

This is a completely Tongue-in-Cheek story of a man who finding himself without a job at the same time his great uncle leaves him with the largest cattle ranch in Colorado, journeys out to take it over. He meets a china man who teaches him Kung Fu like a Carradine, he picks up a gun and always shoots true and can pick out a spade from a hundred yards. One of the local tribes chieftains is a classmate from Harvard and they are sitting on mineral wealth. The other tribe is bloodthirsty and he saves the heroine from their clutches. As many stereotypes as I possibly could fit, all done to make you laugh out loud.

March 30th

Today there will be some writing on Space Mine and work on the Rollercoaster Website. I signed up to be an Amazon Affiliate so perhaps one day this will bring in some money.

The website is getting better and has more depth so hopefully one day it will be a good part of the Rollercoaster Tycoon Community.

As far as writing goes, this week it is concentrate on the Space Mine story and finish up the chapter. I had done very well the beginning of last week when I was writing the first part of the chapter. But the emergency trip to Vegas killed writing for the last half of the week.

Space Mine is the working title and it will need a better title as we finish the book.

        The premise is that in the near future, about 30 to 40 years, the world is passing the USA by, but the USA still has vast resources of talent that it sees a goal to put to use. Doing so brings out more terrorists against the USA however. So a goal to get the USA back on track as a world leader, doing things to benefit the world where its enemies wish to stop it.

        

The premise revolves around a massive program to turn the moon into a city that smelts the mineral wealth of the asteriods and then transships them to Earth. Getting this online is difficult and I try to address those difficulties, political, military, social so that it seems believable and science fiction at the same time.

Able to add another 825 words to Space Mine today.

March 27th

We had a crisis come up.

Cheryl has a good friend who was just widowed and so we are going out to Las Vegas to attend the funeral and support her.

Did some editing on the web site yesterday while making arrangements, but no writing.

March 24th

No Trust Me tonight on TNT.

Wrote 819 words in Space Mine and spent a great part of the day working not only the Rollercoaster website, but also on a second website. This one to highlight all of my book reviews.

March 23rd

Not feeling well today so came home after a couple hours at work. Wrote 799 in Chapter 7 of Space Mine. Goal to finish that this week and return to Graces of Brantley.

Was able to get the old printer working through emulation of the PC side. Then printed out a copy of Chivalric Dreams and of Amnesiac Cowboy so have one editing copy of each of the novels now.

March 22nd

Cheryl is off to help at a tea so left to myself I am set to finish work on the RCT webpages I started yesterday.

I am going to read some of Patrick Rothfuss The Name of the Wind: The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day One

And also work on the Graces of Brantley. So far today have written the prologue as the ladies of the writing group asked me to do and posted it for them to review. That was just over 1800 words. And have a few more paragraphs to finish chapter 2 were the heroine has met one of the influences in her life and we get a good deal of back story as she meets him.

Finished off chapter 2 with another 205 words. Done with writing for the day.

March 21st

Got up and Cheryl talked of spending the whole day on Cheryl activities. Instead we compromised and I am joining her later in the afternoon.

This left the morning to write and do activities on the computer. I wrote about 1665 words. I want to get another eHow article done and set up a web page for my Roller Coaster Tycoon videos.

I did write in graces and went to garage to find all my writings.

March 20th

😀 A surprising day. After watching Slumdog millionaire with Cheryl came down to check messages. I did not think I was going to write today.

I had spent the day chasing money.

Then I made the video for our use here : Forum Use Tutorial

and I also made another for my Roller Coaster Tycoon friends that I have been working on for two weeks. How to make a Simple roller coaster. Simple Coaster Tutorial

But I did end up writing 506 today.
